Eric Foard

It was Christmas day 1989 when Eric received his first audio mixer.  Starting that day he began growing his true passion for controlling music and sound.  In the beginning his only interest was to blend the volume from one song to the other.  Although, while listening to his first recorded mix tape he discovered one of the blends from song to song was actually beat matched.  This obviously opened up a whole new world of being a Disc Jockey for Eric.  From that day on he's been constantly striving for clean and smooth mixing techniques.

For the first few years Eric's music interests mainly belonged to Hip-Hop and commercial dance music.  Around 1992 he began to form an appreciation for electronic dance music, also known as the underground sound.  The first genre that caught his ears is known today as Bangin House.  It wasn't long after that before he moved onto other sounds such as Trance, Breaks, and even Drum and Bass.  Mainly focusing on Trance he still has much respect for all genre's including regular music such as Hip-Hop, Rock N' Roll, Classic Rock, and Classical.  To this day Eric still holds the same respect for all music.

During the early 90's Eric was known for doing house parties stretching from San Francisco to Santa Cruz.  Playing music from all genres is what really set Eric apart from your typical disc jockey.  In fact his overall goal was always to please everyone at the party to his best ability.  Although achieving total crowd satisfaction is almost always impossible, he would do his best by playing music from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's, including heavy metal, slow jams, and electronic dance music.

In the summer of 1996 a co-worker of his asked if he can DJ a wedding for their daughter.  Knowing his music supply, he had no problem providing various requested music for his first wedding gig.  After that Eric officially founded "Stretch Entertainment"
mobile DJ service.  Since then Stretch Entertainment has been providing a music atmosphere for weddings, corporate events, and birthday parties.

Broadening his experience in the late 90's, Eric began spinning at some of the local club's, and ice-skating rinks just for the fun of it.  The only thing left at this point was moving into the scene we know as "the rave scene."  Even though he had interest in all types of music, his true passion is electronic music and sound.  It wasn't until 2001 when he was asked to play at his first rave type party in Perris, California.  Since then he has spun at rave parties all over California and even in another country Lima, Peru.  Eric has also accomplished spinning live on the radio as well as live web broadcasts.

Eric's influences of the past were such names as Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, and Pink Floyd.  Today his influences include Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, Tiesto, Lee Coombs, and Dylan Rhymes.

Eric James Foard aka Stretch was born on the first day of summer June 21st 1976.  He was born, raised, and still currently living in California's very own San Francisco Bay Area.
